Who Thinks There Should Be An “adolescent” Section Not Related To Parenting?
For the record, I’m not an adolescent. But I’ve noticed that a lot of questions on here, if not the majority, don’t have to do with parenting adolescents but more with general adolescent problems. What do you think – is a section specifically for these questions in order?

Yes and No.
I mean, sure it’d be nice for parents to be able to use the section for what it’s for but we’re also not stopping parents from coming on here with their questions. Teens will still go on both of them and will still answer the parents questions and also answer questions asked by teens themselves. It’d limit us a little, but not a lot.

This section pretty much is (or, has become) for teenagers asking and asking teenagers. I only see a parent answer or ask about once a week literally.
If the parents want to use it too, we have no objection. But they rarely do….
I think they prefer specific parenting forums because then they can guarantee that they are getting advice from adults, rather than teens. If they were to ask here, 99% of answers would be from teens.
Therefore, I don’t think making another ‘teen section’ would have any use-parents probably still wouldn’t use this one, and we would just have two sections full of teens. We have taken over, but in the unlikely event of a parent asking here, we will happily give a teenager’s perspective.
