What Is The Difference Between Kotler’s 5 Stages Of Buying Process, And The 5 Stages Of His Adoption Process?
According to Kotler’s Principles of Marketing, the 5 five sages of the buying decision process includes: need recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives, purchase decision and postpurchase behaviour. Makes sense. But then he also writes about the 5 stages of the adoption process, which to me are quite similar yet not the same: awareness, interest, evaluation, trial and adoption.
So what exactly is the difference? And how do they relate to eachother? I’m so confused! And it’s for my thesis!

i cant recall the adoption process but i think there’s a big deal of difference b/w the 2. had there been a similarity or a difference, kotler would have mentioned right there in the book.
you should consult other books. don’t stick to kotler. these processes are not of his research, they are general.
