Two Questions About Parenting And Gender?

1. If you have more than one child, of different genders, do you treat your kids the same? Do you allow one to get away with more based on their gender?
2. Is it ever okay for a parent to knowingly treat their children differently based on gender?
3. Random parenting question: At what age should children learn how to read?

    1. if you want your kids to grow up happy, healthy and close. treat them the same, no letting one get away with something when another was punished, it’ll breed dissent and they will remember it their whole lives. “mommy always loved her best.”
    i know from experience.
2.well, when children are older the line thins, and you have to use your own judgement.
    3. well, there is no set age, some parents teach their kids before starting school, kids can learn to read as early as age two. some parents wait for schools to teach them, which is either kindergarten or 1st grade.

I think they should be treated equally. However I have a friend who has a twin brother, and their parents let the boy stay out later simply because he is a boy and “can defend himself if anything were to happen” -_- anyways. I’m not sure about the 3rd question, but my nephew is 2 years and 7 months old, and he knows his ABCs and he can spell/read small words, but that’s because his parents have been reading to him and teaching him since he was very small. I guess it’s different for everybody!

    1. Children are individuals, like you and I.Treat them special as their needs are different. One may want to play sport or learn to dance, the other may want to write a book (you nurture that)or invent things. Just go with the flow and LISTEN to the child
    2.Listen to their needs
Best way is read to them not only at bed time.Get large writing books with a picture of an apple and the word beside it. Point at the picture and the word as soon as they can understand make it fun.Or you write the word and let the child draw the picture and make their own book.don’t force the child(if they are small)
