To be more specific, what do you think are the four most important part in parenting a toddler? I know the most important thing is – love but other than this. For example, is Nutrition important? What else? Thanks for your help!

There is nothing fake about me and my very real family or my very real adoptive son, or the very real love and support me husband and me gives to all of our children. So why then would someone say that adoption erases a child’s identity and replaces it with a fake one?
What did you know, or THINK you knew, about pregnancy (mood swings, what you could or could not eat/do, etc…)?
What did you know, or THINK you knew, about basic infant care (how to change a diaper, nursing, naps, etc…)?
What did you know, or THINK you knew, about parenting (child development, discipline, schooling, etc…)?
Are you the type of parent who typically does a lot of research into parenting practices, or the type of parent who just figures it out on your own?
If they are not scared by them, and if it’s not too gory or violent, do you think it’s bad parenting to allow them to watch them?
Do men just find the subject boring? Are women more likely to discuss parenting?
Or do you think it’s something else?
I don’t feel like I’m stereotyping, just observing.
Do you think the way children act, respond, and so on is just a natural part of their personalilty or do it think it’s directly related to parenting? For example, is a child clingy and needy because their parents do everything for them and don’t leave their side? Are “bad kids” bad because their parents allow the behavior? Do you feel the need to teach, train and discipline your children? If so how do you do it? Did you learn your parenting style from our own parents or from some other source?
What do you feel is your best attribute when it comes to parenting and caring for your children?
My husband and I would like to adopt. We are foster parents and really want to adopt through the state. However, we would also like to adopt an infant. Of course, adoption is expensive. We can afford to care for our child/children, but we don’t have 20,000+ sitting around. Many people fundraise to make up for the difference, but many people I have discussed this with have not been very supportive of the idea. Do they think it is rude? (I am making items to sell and that type of thing. I don’t just expect people to give us money so we can adopt.)
Any thoughts? Also, has anyone else tried to fundraise for adoption?
