I just see a lot of opinions where people say you shouldn’t raise your child like that or you shouldn’t do that. But is not the way we were raised what makes us unique? Do we not want to be unique? I love all the different parenting styles out there I may not personally choose to do things that others would but I wouldn’t criticize them. Of course there is a boundary of abuse which is wrong but other then that I think we should encourage instead of judge. Does anyone else agree?

Are first borns more strict with their own kids or the reverse.
Are middle kids harsher disciplinarians?
Do Youngest spoil their own kids?
I wonder if there is any correlation between birth order and parenting style.

I just wanted to know the family life of Argentina because I was thinking of living there and making a family. So I want to know a) the parenting styles, b) Child-rearing Practices and c) the family structure in Argentina thank you!

Our parenting styles are differnt..he is WAY to permissive and layed back about the things his children do ie listening to inappropriate music or being disrespectful. When it comes to my children (who are not perfect) he is quick to judge and point fingers. I am more strict and structured than he is and I’m trying to convince him to go to parenting classes….he is stand-offish about it. How do we handle this?

For example authoritarian,permissive and authoritative parenting do you think this styles influence child development?

How do you and your spouse deal with different parenting styles when raising your children?? Do you ever get in arguments about how the other should parent?
