A friend of mine was born in Germany then adopted by a U.S. soldier who married his German mother. He has lived in the United States continuously since infancy. He needs to get a copy of his adoption record to prove he is a U.S. citizen, so he can renew his driver’s license. When he tries to contact the military, they give him the runaround and tell him his adoption record is “somewhere on microfiche”.
Who should he contact in order to get this information so he can prove his status as a citizen, get his license, and not run the risk of getting deported?
My grandmother would like to find her nephew who was placed for adoption as an infant. His birthmother has passed away, and it was her last wish that the family find him. His biological siblings have no interest in finding him, but the rest of the family would love to find him!
