I am writing an editorial and need some reasons why adoption is important. I have a sister that is adopted and think it is very imporant in some cases.

Other than taking the child out of his or her home country, why is international adoption frowned upon as an alternative to adopting in the US?

I am giving a speech on the topic of overseas adoption. I support overseas adoption, but am just wondering of anyone has a good point or argument i could build on to help? Thanks
