My husband and I are interested in adopting a second time and would like to find a birth mother and do a private adoption. Any ideas on how I can do this? Agencies are so expensive and so we are considering private.
Also, if I do fundraising to raise money for an adoption do I need to start a non profit? Any info would be helpful!
I am unable to have a child of my own. I miscarried once and they had to take out my fallopian tubes. I know I can give a child love, attention, all they need , even if I am not rich. I am considering doing a private adoption, but am confused on all the rules. How do I go about legally finding someone that wants to do a private adoption? What is the process once you are ready? My husband and myself are raising our 4 year old son and since I have had him I have found out that I cannot have other children and we are looking to adopt a brother or sister for him but the waiting lists are so long in canada for a child he will be grow up by then. Does anyone know of an agency or someone willing to do a private adoption?
My husband and I want a child in our life but cannot have our own. We are willing for the birth mom to be involved so a private adoption sounds good to us but, we wondered if an agency was a better way to go. Besides private we have no idea how to find the person to adopt from. Any comments or suggestions would be great.
We may consider adoption as a way to complete our family, but it would be imperative to us that the infant be caucasian, and less than 3 months old.
What would be the likelihood of this, and what costs are associated?

I know that for some adoption agencies in the US and in some countries there are different rules for adoption. Previous depression, BMI, etc are also factors.
Are private adoptions subject to the same rules/conditions?
