I’m doing a research paper on discipline so I just want to see if anybody has some honest answers for me that I might be able to use for my paper. And also were you emotionally, verbally, sexually, or physically abused as a child?

Espeically having to deal with exercise and proper diet. Come on it’s disgusting when you see a mom who’s sorry for the metaphor but as big as a blimp and the child is the same way! It’s horrible! Also, in middle schools such as in Oregon schools should be required too have PE everyday!

Be it ones they used and you now choose to use or ones you truly did not care for and are now opting to avoid them.

My son is almost 2. My dad thinks I let him get away with too much. I tell him “no” all the time when he does wrong (like touch things he’s not supposed to), but my dad thinks I need to slap his hand or punish him. Usually i try to remove him from the situation. I feel he does not understand time outs yet. Does anyone have similar problem with your own parents? How do you handle it?

I am 17 yrs old and am pregnant and do not want to give my baby up for adoption. My parents however do.
Do my parents have legal rights to force me to chose adoption?

I live in Florida. What happens when an adult wants to adopt an adult, (in Florida the original parents/birth parents have to consent) but the birth parents do not consent?
What happens when this occurs?
Also, where do you file for adult adoption?

Most of the time my ex is supposed to be spending with our daughter, she leaves her with the grandparents. This next trip her grandparents are not even taking her to see her mother. The divorce papers list the time as parenting time for the mother, not grandparents- do I have to let them take her?

I would love to do an international adoption! It’s just something I’ve always dreamed about. I’ve read on several websites and most of them only allow people 25+ to apply, sometimes 30+. Since the wait can normally be so long I’d like to apply a year or two before then. Does anyone know of international agencies that allow this? If not, it’s really not a problem. I’ll just wait. Any advice on international adoption would be appriciated. Thank you!

I know there are a lot of parenting books out there, child psychology books, baby and me, etc. I know there are psychological theories about the stages that a child goes through when growing up, and I am a firm believer of it. Do any parents agree? And the ones that do, do you find the books helpful? And the ones that don’t, why? I talked to my mom, and she told me that she never read any of those books, and well I turned out just fine! I’m going to medical school and going to be a doctor soon.
