Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Are single mothers more likely to come up with a parenting plan outside the courts if they are dealing with a father that she can trust 100 percent as a parent (he has very good parenting skills), and has the desire to be the best father ever. The mothers both parents that are married. I if her parents are divorced, both her parents did it civil never went to court and were very comparative with each other but were fair to each other. Four days a month and child support is not fair.

What Kind Of Child Would Come Out Of This Parenting Environment?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

He’s an only child who feels connected to his dad. Though his parents are quite stiff. His mom doesn’t really talk very much and his dad talks a bit. Both parents lack self-esteem and confidence, but seem to be authoritarian. The child isn’t given any chores to do, but is expected to do exceptionally well on school work. The child is hardly ever complemented on the work he does, and is instead pointed out on the flaws of his work. His family is Catholic.

How Do I Handle Differences In Parenting Among My Fiance And I When It Comes To Our Children?

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

He has two girls and I have two boys and it just seems like he doesn’t include me and my boys enough. Like, it’s all about his youngest daughter. If I ask him for something he delays it, or doesn’t do it, or just claims to forget. But when it comes to doing something having to do with her he’s on it. Most of the time if I ask him to do something for me it has to do with the boys. What’s up with that? Should I plan to stick it out or abort the mission?

Do You Think Parents Should Take Mandatory Parenting Class If Their Child Is Extremely Overweight?

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Espeically having to deal with exercise and proper diet. Come on it’s disgusting when you see a mom who’s sorry for the metaphor but as big as a blimp and the child is the same way! It’s horrible! Also, in middle schools such as in Oregon schools should be required too have PE everyday!

At What Point Do Your Parenting Opinions Become More Important Than Your Partners?

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

i mean, i see people on here ALL the time complaining about how their significant other parents in a way that is unacceptable to them. well, you decided to have kids with them and the kids ARE half theirs….so why does your opinion matter more than theirs?
its like something so stupid as to argue over a movie your SO lets your kids watch. if they’re not being hurt, they’re fed, and they’re content then what is the big deal?
what im getting at is, if you chose to have kids with someone knowing the kids are half theirs….why does your opinion matter more?

How Does Age Really Affect Parenting?

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

I’m 18, due with a boy in August. My pregnancy was quite the surprise, since my boyfriend of 2 years and I didn’t have actual intercourse, and we were both so naive. But nonetheless, I’m thrilled. I’ve never been so happy. I have a great job at a Daycare center I make 10.50 an hour, have great benefits, and a generous maternity leave. My boyfriend makes 25 an hour at a shipping company, so we’re ok financially.
I’ve gotten a lot of criticism for being so young, and I agree it’s not the best age to become a parent, but I’m confident I’ll make a good mom. I’m planning a water birth, I’m eating healthily (relatively), I’m just so concerned with doing what’s healthy for my son.
My boyfriend and I broke up for a bit, but we had lunch and he told me he’s excited now too, that he just freaked at first.
People make me feel bad about being excited. Is it? Does age really matter, or is it maturity level?
Why can’t people just let me relish in my pregnancy?
