He’s an only child who feels connected to his dad. Though his parents are quite stiff. His mom doesn’t really talk very much and his dad talks a bit. Both parents lack self-esteem and confidence, but seem to be authoritarian. The child isn’t given any chores to do, but is expected to do exceptionally well on school work. The child is hardly ever complemented on the work he does, and is instead pointed out on the flaws of his work. His family is Catholic.
I’m wondering why I grew up under two authoritarian parents, yet never cared for traditions or gave any credence to authority for authority’s sake.
My ex and i are going to a mediator to talk about and make parenting plan. I was wondering if i can have things like “he can’t see the baby if the child support is not paid” “He must have his own diaper bag and a playpen for the William to at least sleep in when he has him”
Can i put these kind if things in?
I want to adopt a puppy for my 4 year old son. But with all the animals that end up in animal shelters, I would like to adopt one there as opposed to buying one from a pet shop.
I worry that at an animal shelter, there will be no puppies for adoption. And I want a puppy so my son and the puppy have a better chance of bonding.
Here are my questions:
1) Do animal shelters have puppies for adoption or just older dogs?
2) Does the age of the dog even make a difference in whether or not the dog and my son will bond?
Thanks!
