I suppose this would be considered the “solution” to the teen pregnancy problem. And yes, I am aware of constitutional impediments to restricting procreation and religious opposition to birth control in general. Thoughts?
I registered my pregnancy with the Dr today. I actually got my BFP 2 weeks ago, but haven’t been able to go due to the Dr having no appointments, having morning sickness and work.
He said the midwife will send me a letter with an appointment date. How long did it take for your midwife to contact you? I live in Cornwall in the UK.
A friend of mine was born in Germany then adopted by a U.S. soldier who married his German mother. He has lived in the United States continuously since infancy. He needs to get a copy of his adoption record to prove he is a U.S. citizen, so he can renew his driver’s license. When he tries to contact the military, they give him the runaround and tell him his adoption record is “somewhere on microfiche”.
Who should he contact in order to get this information so he can prove his status as a citizen, get his license, and not run the risk of getting deported?
I have a 20 month old. Just took an EPT and it appears to be positive, that I’m pregnant (sssshhhhh). So I’m wondering, how is the second pregnancy and delivery different from the first, and how is it having two little ones instead of one? How can I prepare myself?
Can a single woman adopt a child from Russia or do they have to be married. I am interested in pursuing this in the next few years and would be greatful to know anything about the Russian adoption process, costs associated with it, how the adoption went, and how the child is adjusting to life in the US. Sperm can apparently live up to 7 days inside a woman. Does a 38 week pregnancy occur anytime from these 7 days
or does a 38 week pregnancy start from implantation which happens something like 12 days after conception?
I am looking for a resource for attachment parenting for those of us adopting the older child, when that child or children (siblings) will arrive with significant attachment issues.
Everyone talks about adoption as a “win” for everyone involved. What does a mother “win” when she loses her baby to adoption?

I was talking with my Mom and she made the point that it is illegal to for a organ donor to profit from donating their organ but doctors are allowed to make hundreds of thousands of dollars.
She then said that adoption is basically the same way as an organ donation. She said that is the organ donor or natural mother isn’t allowed to profit from the procedure than the doctors, adoption agency, and attorneys shouldn’t be allowed to profit either.
What do you think? With adoption and organ donors nobody should profit because without a donor or natural mother their would be no product. Sorry I am trying to put it in language that will not offend anybody.
