I have a ten-week old daughter. I am in school and have to study a lot. My husband is in Iraq so in a way I am a single mom. I have help from my parents while I am in school but no help for when I am studying. Holding her is not working for me. I NEED to study. Am I hurting her by putting her down to cry herself to sleep if she has been fed, changed and gets a lot of cuddles?
Seems a bit too out there for me, I feel sorry for the children. How do the parents go about driving a car or even being in a car, would they use a child seat or what?
Does it count toward attachment parenting if a backpack carrier is used? A backpack carrier seems to be the best option for both myself and my 8 month old son. I wear him around the house as I do chores. He is close to me and gets to see everything I do. But, since he is in a backpack carrier and not a front carrier, I’m wondering if my style of carrier will still count toward the positive theory of attachment parenting.
my dear daughter is 15 months and throws major tantrums, sometimes lasting 10 minutes… how would I handle this from an attachment parenting perspective.
I am a very commited attachment parent. I love raising my son with this parenting style. I have found that he is so much more pleasant. However, I have two neighbors who frown when I pick my baby up when he cries. I can’t stand it. One of them told me that my baby is completely spoiled (he’s only 6 months old). I am just wondering if there are other mothers out there who have to deal with others and their opinions. Its frustrating!
I am in the Philadelphia area and having trouble locating a pediatrician who is open to attachment parenting (co sleeping, breastfeeding, slinging baby)…
Anyone have any helpful ideas on how to find one or any recommendations??? I am having no luck!
