I divorced in 03 she has custody, but my son has lived with me since May of 09′ Now she has hired an attorney to get him back. Will filing a parenting plan stop a big custody fight?
Since it isn’t enforceable and really isn’t protected by any laws, I think that they need to take “open” adoption out of the equation. No woman should be under the impression that she has some type of legal recourse.
I am thinking that they need to tell all women adoptions are closed and that’s it. What are your thoughts?
We’re going through adoption now and it seems like open adoption isn’t for us. It seems so invasive to let the birthparents have constant contact with your baby/child. Also, I think that a child can become confused when the birthparents are around. But of course we honor them, they are very special people.
