I have a baby boy that is nearly 4 months old. I did have a period last month, January 18th start date. I missed this month and was about to go ahead and start birth control, but thought better take a pregnancy test to be sure. They have all come back positive.
So, I am just curious if I could get a false positive after giving birth back in November of 2008.
I know the basic rule of taking a pregnancy after you have missed your period. But… I have PCOS and I rarely get a period. I have to take medicine daily so that my hormones regulate and make my womanly parts work properly but I still don’t get periods very often. So, how long after intercourse do I need to wait before I can take a pregnancy test since I can’t wait to miss my period.
Sorry if it’s a dumb question I just get really curious about strange stuff like this and I wander over to parenting from time to time when trying to conceive is slow!

I have been told that a pregnancy test 2 weeks after having sex can be accurate. But *how* accurate? If it comes back negative, what are the chances of pregnancy? Like, if my g/f and I had sex on the night of October 31, how accurate would a pregnancy test administered on November 15 be?
How long after conception would a pregnancy test be reliable?
Note: after conception, please dont tell me about ovulation or days from period or due date of periods or anything.

I am exercising and eating better (water, salads etc..) but I am actually gaining weight now! (like a pound every 2 weeks!) I am 7 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight and used to always be petite. Did anyone do something special to lose weight? (other than breastfeeding) Is this normal because it has only been 2 months since I had my son? Any similiar experiences?
Once this pregnancy is over, I will have about 60 pounds worth of weight to lose from my present pregnancy and weight that I never lost from 2 previous pregnancies. How soon after I give birth can I start to exercise? What kinds of exercises are most effective to lose the type of weight gained from being pregnant? Which for me is mostly in the stomach, thighs, and arms. I am at a beginning or maybe moderate exercise level, and I will have 3 young children to take care of while exercising.
How accurate is a urine pregnancy test when taken after 3 weeks of intercourse and in the placebo week?
I registered my pregnancy with the Dr today. I actually got my BFP 2 weeks ago, but haven’t been able to go due to the Dr having no appointments, having morning sickness and work.
He said the midwife will send me a letter with an appointment date. How long did it take for your midwife to contact you? I live in Cornwall in the UK.
I have been on birth control for seven months. At the end of my seventh month I did not start a new pack and stupidly had unprotected sex two days after my period. Therefore, I technically was only off the pill for two days. However, I am only 18 and probably awfully fertile. What are my chances of pregnancy?
