Oh yes! In the first few days after implantation you can start having symptoms! By the time you get a positive pregnancy test you have enough to have any of the pregnancy symptoms. It’s that hormone that cause the mood swings, just like when we are menstruating…we go through mood swings because of the hormone change. When you get pregnant your body begins to produce the HCG hormone a hormone that is only in your body if you are pregnant, and when you become pregnant and you start producing HCG your body doesn’t know it, it’s foreign to your body so your body will have MANY changes that will occur during pregnancy, especially mood!

the effect of hormonal changes in the female species starts in teens where mood swings are totally at odds with the male half and continues through from single/courtship & marriage fathoming even the most rational. pregnancy exacerbates the underlying problem of “you just think I’m fat don’t you” and through to the “while your there getting petrol, can you pick up some dog biscuits and whipped cream cos i really fancy some”

Honestly for me it was almost instant! I am pretty emotional anyway but i found out i was pregnant at 5 weeks, 3 weeks prior to this i turned into a mess, i was having a go at my best friend over nothing and found myself crying over spilt milk, literally! I couldnt sleep very well and i would have only been 2 weeks pregnant. It sent me crazy haha

I personally did not experience huge extremes in my mood changes during my whole pregnancy but I think for most women, it can start very early especially because your hormone level gets messed up at the beginning and it takes awhile until your body gets used to that.

Yes, in fact that’s one of the reasons I took a test to see if I was pregnant. I was so moody and that was before I had even missed my period. Hormones can be the worst in the very beginning because you are not used to them yet.

I would say right from the beginning of pregnancy. I started to feel weird, tired and not myself within a couple of weeks and i didn’t even know i was pregnant at the time!! Pregancy is the strangest thing ever!!!

It can happen upon implantation. My dad said that’s always how he knew my mom was pregnant because her mood was just a little off.

Everyone’s different. But you can have these moody days when your bout 3 weeks along..

I know I had severe PMS like symptoms before we even knew I was pregnant — so maybe 4 weeks, for me? Every woman is different.
