Google no-kill animal shelters in your area. They will take your cat and find a good home for him.

If your cat is FeLV positive, most shelters will not take him. Or they will take him and immediately put him down. You are not likely to find someone willing to adopt a cat with this disease because it's very easily transmitted between cats and is also very deadly.
My sister had a kitten that she found as a stray that was FeLV positive and it died before it was a year old.

ok heres my idea take a pic of him and put posters around town for him to be adopted for free tell them of your husbands allergy and tell then that he has leukemia and they will probaly want him more this may take up to 2 days it depends how many posters you put up and how many cities you go to.
my dog has to have laser eye surgery so i know how you feel about this . if none of this works you can take him to the closest animal shelter and they will take him in and find him a good home. most pets there find good homes if he is over the age of 5 years i would not recamend putting him in animal shelter because most people want kittens and older cats there is a slight chance that older cats get picked over kittens . if you follow all these ideas im pretty sure that you will a nice home for your cat.
i wish you your husband and your cat the best of luck

the cat got sick and now all of a sudden he is allergic? Now you have kicked him out? You know dam well that he will be a dead cat if you don't keep him
What kind of people are you? What does your word mean? After all, whwn you got this life you promised to take care of him throughout
Now it is just a cat huh?
My advice? Get the dictionary out and look up a few words
loyalty
responsibility
 obligation
promises
love
Give me a break he's allergic Please

Is it possible for you to keep the cat in one room of your house away from your husband? Please do not leave him outside, it is not familiar to him and he may get seriously injured by a car and suffer. Do you have a family member or friend that can take him, even keep him in a bathroom or other room in their house until a new home is found for him? He may not be quite as happy in a bathroom, but believe me it is far better than being killed. If you have a digital camera, take a picture of him and post an ad on petfinder.com and an ad on craigslist.org. Just be sure to be honest about him being leukemia positive. Good luck! I hope you find him a home!

First - your cat cannot be outdoors, as he will infect every cat he comes in contact with. Plus any germs he encounters will make him very sick, and he can die from that. I just find it so terribly "odd" that he's been diagnosed with something, and your husband is conveniently "allergic". Did you know that "allergies" are the #1 excuse for cats being dumped at shelters? There are too many allergy medications that are available from qualified doctors for that to be an excuse.
So let's just cut to the chase - shelters will immediately euthanize a FeLV + cat. Rescues won't take him either, as he's contageous to other cats. They can live long and happy lives as an indoor cat, as an only cat, with other FeLV+ cats, or with dogs. There is no reason to dump him.
I surely hope that you and your husband never have children. They come with health issues too, and can be pretty darn inconvenient.
