I do not know the laws in your stav, However,er the baby’s father does have a say in this. They cannot force hthim to sign away his parental rifghts.I

Your still one of their kids.. they are looking at the big picture not your selfish motivations “cause you wanna keep it.”
You will need a babysitter in order to finish school so you can support yourself, leaving a child with strangers is the worst thing you can do, and your folks don’t want to be stuck raising another 18 years of their lives gone.
Secondly, no matter how you think you will take care of the child, he/she will always be a big reminder of some stupid guy that you had sex with and who ran as soon as he found out you are pregnant.Even if you can get a paternity suit, dna thing going he will never make enough money to keep the kid in pampers let alone forumla, and school clothes.
Thirdly, you will always have ‘baggage” no matter how much you love a child it will be extremely hard to find a guy who is willing to marry you and take care of your baby. There will always be this ‘you can’t disipline MY child’ syndrome that will be a constant fight between you and him and guys can find gals that don’t have a child easily.
Fourth, you will be giving a family a chance to raise a child in a loving 2 parent atmosphere that won’t give the kid a complex cause he/she doesn’t have a Dad around.
Those are 4 good reasons there is a heck of a lot more!

if you wont sign the papers no adoption can take place. keep that baby and best of luck to you.

Check out the site below.
The answers say NO , but they dont have to be supportive and can throw you out when you hit 18. You need to have a very serious discussion with more than 1 social worker or other trusted adult to sort out what you will do in the future.
Is the guy going to stay with you ? will his family help support you ? will you be able to attand a college ?
Those are all things to think about.
