For example, the Woman never told the guy that she’s pregnant with their child. Can she put the kid up for adoption without his permission?

No.
Morally wrong and legally wrong.

We are adopting and just had this discussion with our case worker. It really just depends on the circumstances and the laws in that state. In Idaho if a man has sex with a woman he should register with the with the Putative Father Registry, they will alert you if the mother attempts to adopt out the child. Our case worker says that when the adoption goes before a judge the judge will want to see that the agency did what they could to try to find the biological father. She said many times the judge will say he wants an ad to be put in the news paper listing the biological mothers name in case a father wants to come forward. It all seems like a very complicated issue and I think it probably depends on the state, agency, and the judge how they will proceed.

no. however, the powerful adoption lobbyists and multimillion dollar industry have managed to drill “holes” into the law.
if you are a father, please learn about the putative father registry in your state.
if you are an expectant mother, please make sure you inform the father. it’s his right to have the option to parent HIS child.

No, if the father is known/suspected he must by law be notified. The child by law, name on birth certificate or not is 1/2 his.

It depends on the laws in the state the woman gives birth in.

If he isn’t listed on the birth certificate, yes.
